Special Holiday Message----Help Desk

With the economy like it is this year, many are really going to celebrate the season like it was meant to be celebrated. What do you mean? I believe that this is the first Christmas I've experienced in my life where it's going to be about the love you give to one another, and the celebration of the Risen Savior's Birth, instead of about how much money you spend on a gift. Some don't even have jobs right now, nevertheless, money to spend on gifts that sometimes are never worn or used.

So, to those who fall into this category...Don't feel bad! The Christmas Spirit is meant to be about love. Love doesn't cost you anything to give. I have always told my children that Christmas represents Jesus' birthday and not theirs. So, I made them tell Christ what they were giving Him in the year to come, I also allowed them to give gifts amongst themselves and then find something to give someone else. It didn't have to be expensive. It could be a picture they drew. Because truly I believe that if you give, it will be given unto you. Whether it's money, time, love, kindness, kind words, just give something. But remember first to give to Christ. Make a promise to give more of your time towards helping someone else. Make a vow to spend more time in worship. Now if you aren't going to stick to the vow, don't make it. It is better not to vow than to vow and don't do it.

Remember Christ lives in you. People see His light shining through you when you do what He would do, give like He gave, and love like He loved. Have a Happy, Spiritual, and Merry Christmas.
