Graduation: A Time To Let Go and Let God

Jeremiah 29:11"I know the plans I have for you said the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I'll never forget how I felt watching my first born walk across that stage last year to receive her diploma. Although it felt like a great accomplishment on both of our parts, it was also like loosing one of my very own. This is such a bitter sweet time for parents. You are so proud that your child is moving to the next level but at the same time your so worried. They won't be under your watching eye and no one will be there to enforce the laws you've created to help them perserve their integrity.

Nevertheless, we must remember that God plans far exceeds the range of our watchful eyes. He has a predesigned plan for your child and now He's the one watching them. It is always my prayer that Raiyawna "Mooney" remember God's word when she's away. My laws are disabled but God's Word is never changing. I tried to align my parenting with His word so in all, I pray that her understanding of His word will govern her heart, mind, and soul.

As you prepare to make the shift concerning you children; remember you never stop loving them as they meet new levels in their lives, you just change the strategy. You become parent-friend and you remember that God has a plan just for them. It's to prosper them and not to harm them and it's all about the next level in their lives for His glory. Good job parents, you've made it this far and God honors you for a job well done. Now, give the job back to Him and watch how your child grows into an adult.

Be blessed, Danyelle Congratulations Tyria We're Proud of You!

Walk In Wisdom

Have you ever just stopped? Sometimes it is so important that we just stop. Take a look at all that you are doing and evaluate your actions according to your purpose. I know, it's so easy to get caught up in stuff that don't matter! It's also so easy to get caught up in folks whose connection is more about getting more from you, than giving to you. That's why you have to frequently stop!

Stopping helps you to make a responsive decision. Notice when you stop doing what you do, those whom you may be handicapping by being you....will begin to make some things happen for themselves. Stopping also helps you to wait on revelation. You'll be able to hear from God concerning where you are and where you need to be. During your stop, it's a chance to forget about some things, and pray about everything. Stopping also allows you to operate in wisdom. You've seen that you have already wasted time and now that you know what doesn't work for you (for your purpose), now you can walk in wisdom. Wisdom helps you to realize that it was just a season for time wasting, people chasing, and tradition catering.....and after wisdom helps you realize the time waste, it's ushers you towards time management. Wisdom helps you to number your days!!!!! It also give you the confidence through faith to do something different. When you walk in wisdom, you decide to do things not according to how you use to do them, or how other folks taught you to do them, but strictly according to how God desires you to do things; according to whom He has purposed you to be.

Now to all of you out there, if you feel like you are just spinning your wheels, if you're tired of living the same ole way, if your purpose just doesn't seem to be clear.....remember to STOP! So here's the equation: STOP + PRAY + DIVINE REVELATION + FAITH + STEP OUT= A WALK IN WISDOM!

"If any of you lacks wisdon, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5Be

The Soul That Never Dies

I saw a corpse today that reminded me of a man I loved and knew but as I glared with tears in my eyes and pain stricken in my heart....I realize there lies the shell of a man whose soul shall never die. Not because he was such a good, kind, loving man but because he simply said, "Today, I asked the Lord to save my soul."

Words that will forever be etched in my memory along with the awesome things he did for me and my siblings growing up....words that will surely make me live each day a life in preparation for a soul that shall never die. Just on the other evening I had a dream about a deceased young man who while in the casket could find no rest. He turned and twisted as if he was fighting the sleep that was now upon him. I said in the dream why is it he can't find any rest and his mother answered and said to me, "Because he didn't prepare to die." I woke up in prayer because for the third time in the past year God has given me the same vision but a different person. I ultimately just said, "Lord, please save me and if for a lack of judgment on my part that I've forgotten to repent, please forgive me for my sins and restore me under the provision of your sacrificial grace and powerful mercy. Lord teach me to make wise decisions for each day and please save my soul so that when I sleep, I can truly be at rest."

Then folks, as I sat at the funeral today and saw a body that rested.....I heard...but what about those who aren't prepared to sleep. You know who you are and it is my goal and purpose to say to you this day...."Choose you now whom you will serve...will it be God or man?" Salvation is but a gift and it comes with no stipulations. You won't automatically do everything right, are turn into Mr. or Mrs. Goodie Two Shoe. Everyday with the help of the Spirit of God that dwells and empowers you at your first confession, you will become the manifestion of what God purposed you to be. You'll learn to live without some things, and to live whole heartedly for the right things. It takes time and a willing soul.

I fight the fight so strong and hard because it has been given to me to ensure that souls never die. So as you do, live, walk, talk, and breathe...do it with the certainty that your body is the house for a soul that will never die. Have faith in God, take care of yourself, believe in yourself, believe that all things are possible for you, repent for the things that go against the Word of God; the sins committed in your flesh, grow, learn, and remember always to pray. My lines of communication are always opened if you need information of giving your life to God through firm belief in Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Love Always, DanyelleIn Memory of Uncle Phillip Brown Jr. (Rest In Peace!)

She's A Survivor

I was truly honored that my event planning company was asked to host a "Survivor's" Party or Bash. It was in honor of my friend First Lady Gloria Smalls. It never ceases to amaze me at how diligently she's believed God's word through this entire process. You know somethings never affect you until they hit home and her being pronounced with cancer and then God healing her really took a toll on me. I first was in deep denial because she would always look herself. She was never complaining about pain or kemo and her hair was still healthy and full.

Then all of a sudden, she started to loose her hair and that's when it became real to me. I can't imagine what goes on in the mind of someone who has to loose their hair and even their breast or other parts but I do know that God is faithful. I've lost a few things on my walk (including some body things) and all I could do in the process was praise God because I didn't loose my life.Life is a valuable thing. When God gives us His breathe daily, sometimes we become ungrateful as if we are causing ourselves to breathe.

It's vitally important that we thank God for every breath and that we get busy. Whether you live or die, live or die doing the will of God; the will that was set in place for your life. Gloria was so happy to have all her family, friends, and folks around last night. You could see her will not only to survive but to do the will of God for her life, while she has life.

So to all of my sisters out there who has experienced that spirit called cancer.....Praise God that He is still a healer and find someone else to encourage. All sickness is not until death.....and some God allows to show you that you weren't really living. Now live and survive..the best is yet to come.I love you wonderful woman of GodDanyelle Scroggins
