The Art of Change

Regardless to how we fear change, and are so comfortable when things in our lives seems to mimic our perception of good living, we must not forget sometimes change is needed. Yes, I am surely one who knows I not good with change and if the truth be told, I dread change. Nevertheless, I realize that change is an art and if you embrace change as an artist...you will never go wrong.

I know you may be saying, "How the heck is change an art?" Let me explain. When we experience change, we must be molded in our minds, transformed in our thinking, uplifted in our heart, and sometimes even transfixed in faith. See works of art takes careful consideration, special attention, and creative minds....so does change. When God users change into our lives, He has taken careful consideration of our journey, He's paid special attention to our gifting(s), setbacks, sinfulness, and our purpose, and He uses His creative mind of His Spirit to help us get renewed minds. Can you see it now?

Sometimes it takes a lot to embrace change, but oftentimes in our hearts of hearts, if it were up to us, we would never reach forward to provoke change. How do I know? I'm in the biggest change of my life right now. I know I need to change for my health's sake but boy am I struggling. I am watching God change the painting of my life and I realize most of all He is the Master and I am His masterpiece!

YOU ARE TOO! I believe that's exactly why the scripture says, "All things work together for good to those who love God and are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28) Nothing will ever happen to His masterpiece, that He is not able to fix; and sometimes with fixing comes changes. I pray this helps you to embrace the change or changes happening right now in your life. Be Blessed!

Hotel Hell

So I'm strolling and find my poem "Hotel Hell" that was written in 2008 and published on my blog in 2009 is now a television show on FOX in 2012! Hilarious!

Hateful, wicked, lying deceiver

Adulterous, backbitter, unbeliever

Fornicator, false prophet, you thief

You'll perish cause of your unbelief.

Whoremongers, murderers, and all

Judgement time you'll stand a big fall;

Some of these things we've done

Thank God for His only Son.

Just because the Son was sent

Don't think that your problems are solved,

There's a bath that you must take with

Special events involved.

Don't you Go there,Hotel Hell, Don't go there!

You must first be born again

And old junk must be put out.

After a dip in heavenly water

You can begin to shout!

Your body is a bottle

That is being refilled;

There's redemption in His Blood

Ask God to do His will.

I plead you not to turn away

And die in all of your sins,

Hotel hell has plenty reservations

No money needed;Sin will get you in!

Don't you go there,Hotel Hell, Don't go there!

Meet Destiny Barnes or Destiny's Decison a book by Danyelle Scroggins

Meet Destiny Barnes, the grand-daughter of Pastor Louis and Lora Barnes (the founders of Faith Temple Cathedral), born to their only daughter who served in the U.S. Military and knew Destiny would be better off raised by her parents.

Pastor Louis Barnes died and Lora Barnes wanted to make sure that not only would Destiny own Faith Temple Cathedral, but that she would one day become the First Lady of Faith Temple Cathedral. So, she put a plan into place that require Destiny to make some decisions that could very well altar her life.

Destiny grew up having everything she ever wanted and the one thing she lacked (a sibling) was solved when she connected with two other girls, Stephanie & Sheila, who had the same thing in common (no siblings). These three young women formed a bond that carried them all the way to college and through the death of Destiny's grandparents. Now they must get through Destiny's fear of making the most important decision of her life......becoming the wife of Pastor Roderick Prince Strong; as well as deal with some challenging circumstances of their very own.

It has been said, "the decisions you make have the ability to channel and change your life", and Destiny's Decision proves this statement correct. Get ready for a ride of a lifetime when you meet Destiny Barnes in Destiny's Decision coming February 14th!

CLECO Power LLC and The Maybe

So I look at my CLECO bill and see an additional $150.00 on the bill. I call to find out why and find out that my lights were turned off for one hour and I was charge an additional $150.00 on top of a restore fee. Now, the bill says, "You may be billed". So I called CLECO to find out what specifies me in the MAY BE GROUP....maybe because you are poor, maybe because you live in a black neighborhood, maybe because you let your bill get turned off, Maybe because CLECO is ripping people OFF!
So I asked, "When will I receive my money back or will I?" And the lady says, "When you disconnect your services." So my question for the execs is "If Cleco is holding my deposit, will they give it to my children once I'm dead....because aren't I going to need ELECTRICITY as long as I live and Does my money that you are holding gain interests? And HOW many times will I may be required to pay a deposit being that ...I forget to pay the thing, or I just may not have the money to pay the thing when they want me to. Boy Boy Boy...God teach me how to survive on the daylight and go to bed at night. Can I get anybody to send me and Scroggins some candles and some money?

Watch Out For Those Seeds

We must be very careful of the seeds that are planted in our minds by the enemy. We have the distinct priviledge to take charge over our thoughts; concerning whether they are good thoughts are bad thoughts. Our thoughts can take us on a journey all by themselves, but we must make sure that the journey is worth taking.

Go to www.danyellescroggins.com/danyelles-blog.html to read WATCH OUT FOR THOSE SEEDS! It is an article worth reading and I pray that you are blessed by it.

The Edd Scroggins Blanket Drive

I have been cold and I know how it feels to be without. It is because of this, I have decided to start a blanket drive in honor of my deceased father in law, Deacon Edd Scroggins. This is a man who opened his home to whomever needed a place to stay, especially children.
Please, if you can find it in your heart to give, send you unused blankets to Community of Faith Family Church, 624 Louise Street, Mansfield, Louisiana 71052 or you can email me at info@danyellescroggins.com for more information. We are fastly approaching the winter months so we need these blankets like yesterday.
If God has blessed you to give, please do so. Be Blessed!

In The Living Room With Pastor Danyelle (interview with Chaplain Eunice Johnson)

Hi Friends,
If you want to see a fantastic article with the first African American female Chaplain at LSU Health Science Center of Shreveport, Louisiana ...go to www.danyellescroggins.com and journey over to Danyelle's Blog In The Living Room With Pastor Danyelle.

Out of all the women I know, this one particular woman is more than a dream to know. She is the purest example of Godliness and womanhood that I know. Mother Eunice, as I so affectionately call her, has been to me what Timothy's grandmother was to him. She has become one of my heroes.
Why? Because at the age when other women feel like their lives have ended, she shows you that it can just begin. With no career, no money, and no husband at the age of 48, she redirects and accepts God's purpose for her life; and this was the beginning of life. Go on over and read this article that I am sure that you will enjoy.

Sit Back And Watch God Move

Hey out there in blog land. Are you praying for God to perform a miracle in your life? I do believe that, "God is able to do the exceedingly and abundantly above all you can ask or think, according to the power that works in us" (Ephesians 3:20). So if you are praying in faith, believe God and sit back and watch God move.
I know for some of you who have thought that you were in control of your life, it's hard to turn your life over to God and wait on Him. It's hard not to try to fix and work out your problems and situations yourselves. And for those of you to whom this applies, it's okay. I was once just like you. I thought that I was in control of my life and that it was up to me to fix the problems around me. Some problems aren't meant to have a quick fix...some things are allowed to embrace our lives in order to get us to call on God. Most importantly, some problems are meant to shake us into change, elevate our faith, and establish our trust in an almighty God.
Some situations require that you just give God praise. The easiest thing for you to do right now in the midst of your storm, is praise God. And then determine to sit back and watch God move. In other words, don't let the enemy cause you to doubt what God is about to do in your life. While your sitting back, you are believing God to manifest a miracle in your life. This is the move that you're waiting for. Miracles are still happening for people who put their trust in the Lord! "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
Is there anyone out there willing to turn their matters over to God? Is there anyone out there willing to praise God until the miracle come through? Stop weeping and start praising and God is going to do a new thing through you and for you. Be Blessed!

World's Aids Day: "Don't Do It"

I dare not let this day past before encouraging everyone to get tested! The best way to protect yourself from aids is celibacy....

Enjoy this featured poem from my book of poetry entitled House of Poems

Don't Do It

Queen, you have the sex machine
Cause without it, there would be just pipe dreams.
Just because you got it, don't make it free
Brother so happy acting like he on a shopping spree.
But you my dear holding all the hurt scars
Cause you used your sex machine like an open bar
I'm just rying to get you to realize
Just your face alone will make a brother mesmerized;
And if you really want to hypnotize,
Make him wonder what you got between your big thighs!
Don't go give it away
Day after day
And you think it's cool because you made a brotha pay.
Ain't a price tag big enough in the world
That could pay for what God gave to His girls.
Even though you got the sex machine
Sistah all you need to do is keep it real clean
And when he says, "I want you"
And you stand before the preacher
And say, "I do"
And then you let him glean
In your sex machine.

Be Blessed and always Be Safe!

Stop Wasting Time

As I begin my journey to promote "His Mistress or God's Daughter", it is so important for me to tell my sisters to stop wasting time. Time is an element of the atmosphere that is truly not promised to us. We only had control of the time that has past and most of us were truly wasteful. What if God says, "Based on how you've spent you time in the past, I will determine how much time you have left on Earth?" Some of us would only have a second to live.

When it comes to relationships....get rid of those that aren't profitable to you because it's a waste of your time. You know what I mean! If you are a dating a brother who clearly states that he doesn't want a wife...let go, move on. If you're wasting time with someone who spends most of his time with his wife and kids...let go, move on. If you're spending most of your time covering bruises and scars from the one you're with...let go, move on. If you spend majority of your time arguing and cussing the one you're with...let go, move on. Why waste any more time trying to fix something that was broken from the start or that doesn't want to be fixed? Why stay in something, unless God says it, that you know is doing you more harm than help? And don't lie on God and say that He wants you to stay because you don't have the courage to leave.

This doesn't only apply to the sisters, it's for my brothers too. Time is so vitally conducive to our living because if I am still living, I still have time. Nevertheless, I don't know how much time so I had better use the time I have, wisely. Umm! I'm the greatest advocate of connections. I believe that God makes connections to advance us and to test us. I also believe that with each connection I should glean and pick up all that is good and leave all that is bad. I know that all connections aren't for life and some are just to get you through the season or to your next season. So determine what the connection was for and if it's done all it can do, stop wasting time, let go and move on. Be Blessed

The Kid You Help Today, Will Praise You Later

On yesterday we funeralized my great-aunt. Although it was a sad occasion, it was a blessed time. We celebrated her life with stories of all she'd done. It was amazing to see people come up one by one and everyone talked so candidly of how her house was the haven for kids. As I sat listening, I remembered when adults actually took out the time to nurture not only their children but someone else children. Can you remember when?

I just wondered if my aunt knew that what she did on each day would gain her the highest praise and embed a mark in each mind concerning her? One of her grands even read Proverbs 31. How awesome will it be to become that kind of woman? So I guess my quest today is to just encourage all women to be the best woman that you can be by helping a child. We already wear a lot of hats and sometimes we do get tired but we must be reminded every now in then, "Don't get weary in well doing because in due season we will reap if we faint not!" Wear all of those hats proudly and remember even if you never live to see it on this side, you will be praise in the gates!

There are millions of children who never get the love that they deserve and need to be nurtured into successful people. So many are in homes where parents try to show their love by what they've provided and just like in marriages....that doesn't work. You can show me something but sometimes I don't get the visual unto you use spoken word. You need to say it (I love you) as you show it. Today I'm challenging every person who reads this blog to help a kid somewhere, somehow. They are truly our future and who knows, if you help them now, they'll praise you later.

Be Blessed
In Memory of Doretha Lott

Here's some info about the kids I've decided to help:
They attend the Stephens Boxing & Fitness Gym in Shreveport Louisiana. This is a place where young males go to learn to challenge their energy into something positive. The Joy of the Lord (Is our Strength)

Good Sunday Morning!
I woke up this morning grateful and thankful that the Lord allowed me to witness another day. We often take for granted the opportunity to breathe. Earlier this week, I experienced an asthma attack and as those of you who have asthma can agree, it's not too fun. I had to find something spiritual in what I'd experienced and I came to the conclusion that God allowed so I can see just how valuable breathing is. Because I know that there is so much in store for me, the enemy has been informed that..."No weapon formed against me shall prosper."

Now, I decided to grace you with this story because whereas I was fighting for another breath, one of my neighbors tried to stop breathing by suicide on yesterday. I first got mad because the devil thought he could send his demons this close to my house. So I prayed and now I know I must go into warfare for my surroundings. As I prayed for her, I was reminded of how awesome God truly is. Had it not been for the grace of God, I probably would have lost my mind this year. But God! So, I am praying that she and those of you who are going through grab a hold to the God that heareth, healeth, and holds us tightly in His hands. There is nothing too hard for God.

Yes, I can see how troubles can become too seemingly unbearable but thank God for the "But." Here is the "But"..."Cast your cares upon me because I careth for you." God cares for you and when you come to your breaking point, this is when you must pray. Some of us won't pray until we come to a breaking point! So guess what, we have them just so the Father that loves us so much can hear from us and know that we are still depending upon Him. In all that you go through in this life, you must remember my new and fabulous quote that God gave me..."Everyday is a new day to start a new life." No matter what yesterday handed you, today is a new day to change things. When we change our minds, we change our situations and maybe that's all my neighbor or your need; a changed situation. Remember that there is nothing too hard for God even if it seems too hard for you. You got to hold on to your joy! And you can find joy when you understand that if you praise God with renewed joy, God's joy will be your strength. Be Blessed.

I'M BACK AND FIT FOR THE FIGHT!

Hello all my blog friends. I'm back and I have more equipment to fight the enemy with. These have been some trying months for my family but I believe that in order for the REVELATION that God spoke to become MANIFESTED.....We had to endure some suffering. I must tell you that the WORD (if you hide it in your heart) will keep you in times of trouble. Some days, the WORD was all we had and just like it was with GOD, it was with us.

It had been our constant prayer that GOD would purify us solely and completely and make us fit to fight for God's kings and queens. Purification came with life alterations and though some of them hurt, they have truly helped. We figured that if GOD designed a special task for only us to fulfill, our suffering broke off some things and some people in order that we may conquer our quest to do HIS WILL. GOD is perfecting and purifying the SAINTS to make us FIT for the FIGHT.

So as some of you may be going through right now at this very moment, understand it's just for who you will become. The you that GOD is perfecting, is the you that will usher in a life of peace, prosperity, and promise. So go through and when you don't know what to do....just Praise GOD, Pray to GOD, and then WAIT on GOD. Before being allowed to grace your situation, God already knew and you should have too, that not only is HE willing, but HE is able to bring you THROUGH!

Be Forever Blessed, Danyelle
